GGB Bearing Technology has been working alongside one of the world’s largest manufacturers of agricultural machinery on an important new project since its conception in 2010. The company manufactures a wide variety of equipment, including a new, redesigned line of field sprayers that feature the latest advances in technology to increase productivity.

GGB’s HSG (High Strength GAR-MAX®) bearings have been specified for use in the folding boom pivots of the new self-propelled sprayers. The fiber reinforced composite, high-strength, self-lubricating agricultural bearings combine the excellent lubricating properties of filled PTFE with the high strength and stability of an oriented glass fiber wound structure, offering many benefits to the application, including:

GGB’s high performance, metal-backed DX® composite bearings are already being used in current models of the company’s self-propelled sprayers. DX®kingpin bearings and thrust washers have been selected for use in the suspension and steering of the new sprayers based on the previous success of DX® bearings in the company’s current sprayer applications.
