Hdpe, PE, UHMWPE materials have been proved to be suitable for relatively weak acid-base cross environment (30% cucL2 solution and 30% NaOH solution tested OK), PVDF and PTFE materials can be used in strong acid-base environment, which PTFE can be used in all strong acid and alkali conditions, including HF and fuming nitric acid sulfate (98% or more). And so on.

 

High temperature resistant plastic bearings

 

PVDF, PTFE (TeFLon), PPS (polyphenylene sulfide), PEEK (polyether ether ketone), PI (polyetherimide) and so on have proved to be ideal materials for making high temperature plastic bearings. PI can be used in the long-term temperature of 290℃ environment, and the short-term temperature can reach 350℃. It is one of the best high temperature properties of all known engineering plastics.
